Theresa Wiesinger was born and raised in a small little town near Innsbruck in the Tyrolean Alps. After completing her education in Graphic and Communication Design in Austria, she decided to seek work experience in the United Kingdom. Following one year of full-time employment in a marketing agency in Leeds, Theresa enrolled into an undergraduate Media Production course at the University of Central Lancashire. During her educational time in the North of England, she also took the opportunity to study abroad at the California State University in San Marcos, where she specialised in technologies across graphics, video, audio, multimedia and television production. Theresa graduated with a BSc (First Class Honours) in Media Production in 2017 and continued studying on a postgraduate level in Scotland. She graduated in November 2018 as a Master of Arts with Distinction in Interaction Design from Edinburgh Napier University, where she explored technical and creative approaches towards prototyping and programming for human interaction centred design in emerging technologies & media.

Theresa has been employed as a Graphic Designer throughout her studies and has work experience in various industries including areas of marketing, design and television production. Next to her current full-time employment as a designer, she is expanding her skills in UX and Interaction Design through online courses provided by the Interaction Design Foundation. Besides her professional and educational life, Theresa likes to spend her leisure time outdoors where she regularly hikes, climbs or skis. She is also a very out-going, open-minded and well-travelled person, having made connections and friends all over the globe – visiting them as often as possible. During her travels, Theresa can most likely be spotted capturing landscapes and other objectives through one of her cameras as she is constantly searching for new ideas and inspirations. Other areas of Theresa’s interests are sustainability and the emerging design area of Biomimicry, in which she recently completed her dissertation.
