‘Digital making as research’ has been introduced to me via a university module during my MA studies. This project explores 3D printing and 3D CAD software through shapes and various materials. The module also examines the use of making and prototyping as a beneficial research method in order to explore a range of design strategies used by 3D designers in research as well as ideation and product realisation.

My 3D printed work takes a detailed look at the shape of a lemon fruit and investigates how our perception might change when using different materials such as ‘Aromatic pine’, ‘Copper’ and ‘Glow in the dark’ filaments.
